Domaine de La Planquette

Small game hunting on a private estate

600 hectares in the Artois hills. Partridge, pheasant, hare. All-inclusive service, on-site accommodation.

A family estate passed down for three generations. Considered one of the finest shoots in Europe.

The estate

A family hunting estate in the Pas-de-Calais

La Planquette is a private 600-hectare estate in Rollancourt, in the heart of the Artois hills. For three generations, the family has organised small game hunting here — grey and red-legged partridge, pheasant, rabbit and hare — in a preserved setting, far from the usual circuits. Considered one of the finest shoots in Europe, La Planquette has built its reputation through word of mouth: most of our guests come on the recommendation of someone who knows the estate.

Shooting days are fully inclusive: bespoke drives, number of guns adapted to your group, stands chosen by our team. At midday, lunch is served at the estate — champagne, oysters, foie gras, fine wines and seasonal cuisine. The Maison du Bois accommodates up to 12 guests on site, with dinner by the fire in the evening. The number of days per season is deliberately limited to preserve the quality of the territory and the hospitality.

A place where we hunt as we host: with care, with attention, and leaving nothing to chance.

Private 600-hectare estate. On-site accommodation, sleeps 12. Bespoke shooting days.

The territory

600 hectares of plains, woods and valleys

The estate stretches across 600 hectares of agricultural plains, ancient woods and valleys shaped by the Artois hills. This varied terrain creates small game hunting conditions rarely found on a single territory: open stands on the plains, passages along the edges, cover in the valleys. Game moves naturally here, and drives are organised according to terrain and season.

  • The plainsLarge agricultural plots maintained to provide game with food and cover. Drives on the plains offer open settings, with well-placed stands and fine lines of fire.
  • The woodsAncient woodlands and deep edges that structure the territory. Game retreats and finds refuge there. The beaters know every passage, every covert.
  • The valleysThe Artois hills trace a gentle relief, with valleys that create changing atmospheres throughout the day. In the morning mist, in the late afternoon under low-angled light — this is the setting for a hunting day one remembers.

The territory is carefully managed: habitat maintenance, population monitoring, sustainable harvesting. Each season is different, each day unique.

Shooting days

Shooting days are organised to measure, in accordance with the cynegetic calendar and the state of the territory. The number of days per season is deliberately limited — we prefer fewer, done well. Each drive is carefully prepared: choice of stands, placement of beaters, rhythm of the day.

  • Bespoke organised drives
  • All-inclusive: meals, wines, accommodation
  • Full or half days

The game

The estate is home to populations of grey and red-legged partridge, pheasant, rabbit and hare. Numbers are monitored annually and harvests adjusted to maintain the balance of the territory. Game lives here in its natural habitat, on a territory maintained to provide food, cover and peace.
